Starcraft problem
I used to play (an illegal version of) Starcraft a couple of years ago. I almost beated the game, I was down to the last level when I got tired of it.
Now I have a legal version and I'm trying to get my old save files to work. I just placed them in the proper directories, made sure they weren't 'read only'. That didn't work, the username/files didn't show up in the game. So I figured I had to recreate the username and suddenly the game would recognize the files. Nope. :p Does anyone know how to fix this? Of course I could just create a new username and use cheats to fast-forward. And that's what I'll do if you don't have another solution. :) |
Re: Starcraft problem
the old SC you were playing was prolly a different version, and therefore using a different ID code. in some games once you update it, older version save games become obsolete, which is what i think is happening here. i am unsure as to what else could be the problem, so all i can recommend is for you to use cheats and just fast forward.

Re: Starcraft problem
Ah yes, I can't watch most of my WC3 replays because of the patching. :(
I guess I'll cheat. :) Thanks. |
