It will not be until 1.5.0.8 likely that users will be given the option of updating to minor 1.5.0.* update or to get choice of separate major update to 2.0.* As for Camino the 1.1 alpha 1 test release was recently released as the 1.0.3 is still the current stable. Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061023 BonEcho/2.0 ID:2006102304 (no real differences from 2.0 final at moment due to no checkins since 20061010. |
Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
Shouldn't you be at a Firefox party? ;)
But seriously, we have a lot of great discussions outside the realm of Firefox. Why have you only elected to participate in Firefox related topics. And how did you know to visit GT today when I would make this thread? I know you don't visit daily. Look what I'm using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1) Gecko/20061010 Firefox/2.0 Oh yeah! |
Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early

Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
....right.
Well, did not like the new look so got a theme to match that of old. |
Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
do i have to uninstall 1.5 and then install 2? becuase the auto-update feature isn't working
|
Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
Nope, don't have to. I heard that there is no auto-upgrade for this one since it's so major...or at least that's what the folks were chittering about at digg. I'm liking this auto spell check that's implemented. "Chittering" and "digg" are underlined in red as I type this.

Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
well, as i said...the auto-update feature doesn't work...do i have to wait for it or something?

Re: Firefox 2.0 released a day early
The 2 things that annoy me with 2.0 is that if I click a link from the drop down address bar it doesn't go to it, it just shows it in the bar but I have to either hit enter or the go button (hate doing that). Unless there's some option to change that.
The other minor thing is that I can't remove the Go button anymore (without removing the entire address bar)! >< I hated having it there since I just hit enter or clicked on the link I was going to and just took up wasted space. |
