MAFIA! : A forum game (Bodysnatcher theme) SIGN UPS!

For those of you who don't know what the game Mafia is, it essentially works like this:

The "village" consists of all players in the game. Included in the village is a small number of bad guys. Normally, the bad guys all know one another at the beginning of the game, but nobody else knows anything about anyone other than themselves.

Each day (normally 24-hour period) the village discusses and publicly votes for one person to be executed that night. At the same time, the bad guys choose one person to kill each night and PM the name to the narrator.

The good side wins if all of the bad guys die. The bad side wins if the number of good guys is less than or equal to the number of bad guys (on the assumption that at that point, they control the vote plus get their kill, so it's inevitable).

Usually, there will be one or more "special" roles among the good guys (and occasionally among the bad guys). Exactly who holds each role is only known to that person, although how many of each role exist is most often known.

Each night, the narrator gives the details of who died, and normally whether they were a bad guy. Some games also include clues or outright statements if someone who died is a good special.

I can't work out the exact mechanics until I know who is all playing. I'm hoping for a sign up of between 20-30 people. I'll flesh out rules further if enough people join so that the game can run properly.

But this will be fun so I encourage people to play.

Sign up by stating you want to play and picking a number between 1 and 20. Roles will be decided by random number generator. More slots will be added if enough people are interested.

If you play, you have to vote every day and post at least twice in the thread. Failure to do this twice will result in your removal from the game. If you have a legitimate excuse and you provide me with a PM stating your reason for absence, you will be exempt from punishment.

Oh, and the theme is bodysnatchers. It's more specifically based off of the movie "The Thing".
