First off kudos to CoD 4. A truly awesome game that has been number 1 for 3 straight months now.

The hardware though is quite a shock all around.
Everything down but the PS3. I'm assuming the Wii/DS/360 all had shortages coming from a pretty huge X-Mas season, but till the PS3 is getting back into the fight.

Shall be an interesting FEB.

Yeah, a good strong showing for the PS3. Blu-ray's early success probably had a hand in that.

I will attribute the PS3 sales to COD4. My roomate has it and he is obsessed with it. Its literally all he plays, for hours at a time. I think the word is spreading and people are buying the PS3 for that game alone.

It's pretty great...I've beaten the single player game twice and logged in about 30 hours online.

I blame the price drop. It's just the right time to buy a PS3. It finally has some worthy games (Uncharted, CoD4, DMC4...) and the price is alright.
