Mafia Round 2 – It’s a Trap!
 

Day Three

A tremor in the force has been sensed by both sides. Beware.

In the words of the Rebel Alliance…

Yoda and Chewbacca have just arrived on the forest moon of Endor.

“Welcome back you rapist! Er… Wookie!” said Qui-Gon Jinn.

“Little time have we. Assemble the remaining Jedi and the Rebel forces,” instructed Yoda.

*The remaining Jedi (Obi-Wan, Luke, Yoda, and Qui-Gon) and Rebel forces (Admiral Ackbar, C-3PO, Chewbacca, Leia, R2-D2, Han, and Lando Calrissian) have now assembled inside the Rebel Alliance base deep within Endor.*

“My patriots and freedom-lovers, the time for action is now! Too long have we idly stood by while the Empire has enslaved our galaxy! These acts of aggression will no longer be tolerated. We have been pushed to the brink of our very survival, and we will respond with the full force of this mostly crippled Alliance Fleet!” said Lando.

*There is uncertain applause, followed by an extremely loud and awkward outburst.*

“IT’S A TRAP!” screams Admiral Ackbar.

“Shut the hell up, Admiral Ackfuck,” replies Han.

“Silence, Han, we all must rally together in this time of war,” says Obi-Wan.

“Always calm and compassionate. Damn Jedi…”

*Qui-Gon looks around and proceeds to stand up.*

“Hey, where the hell is Lando?!”

In the words of the Galactic Empire…

“Vader? Vader… wake up!”

*Muffled breathing.*

“What has happened, my Lord?”

“Your pacemaker. It skipped a beat,” replied the Emperor.

“Oh. For a minute there I thought you had tried to kill me, but it looks as though I almost killed myself! Ah-har!”

“Darth Maul, bring in the Fetts,” instructed the Emperor.

“Right away, my Lord.”

*The Fetts enter, carrying Luke Skywalker in cuffs.*

“Luke, you must learn the true power of the darkside. I can feel the anger running through your veins.”

“Strike me down!”

“Never!”

“Luke, it is pointless to resist,” says Darth Vader.

“Father, I can sense the good in you still, turn back! Turn back to the light side!”

“No, there is no more good in me. I am lost forever.”

“If you will not turn, then I have no choice but to kill you.”

“But fathe…”

*Vader slashes through Luke’s chest with his red light saber. Luke falls to his knees. Vader proceeds to kick his body into a melting pit.*

Some time passes…

“I instructed you to retrieve Lando Calrissian as well, where is he?”

“Lord, he died in transport.”

“What in the galaxy did he die of, you stupid bounty hunters!?”

“He died of natural causes during the transport, my Lord.”

“Oh, well then, bring him to me anyway.”

“But, he is already dead, my Lord.”

“I know. He doesn’t have to be alive for what I am going to do to his body.”

*The Fetts begrudgingly exit the Emperor’s lair, and proceed to retrieve Lando’s body out of the cargoship.*

It is always darkest just before the dawn, but the dawn is coming, just not today.

My out of game comments:

I might be wrong on this, but I don't think in the other games the evil knew the evil people prior to playing, making it a completely alliance-based game, opposed to a "sit back and pick them off" type of game.

And despite the fact it doesnt matter, I think it would have been better if we didn't know everyone elses character beforehand. People are more likely to vote against good if they're evil, and evil if they're go-*dies*.

Consider this my first post. And just for the record that ending time is 02:00 am Tuesday 16th GMT.

So the vote was wasted on a simple villager. And our Guardian has been killed. Time to really start playing now people.

Well thats not good.
Was Typhoid in an "alliance" with anyone who knew that he was the guardian?
That would give us a good lead on who is evil.

I would think Dylflon of all people knows to play it rough.

Honestly, I don't mean to pick on him or anything, but it does seem a bit suspicious when you think about it.
Dylflon enters the game, immediately starts shouting that he'll get killed. He demands protection. So he either really wants to play, he's a special good guy, or he's mafia.
He says he's the guardian. That's possible. I think Dylflon would know better to play open card, I've never seen it work in a mafia game... But I'm not sure about that. He might be honest.
He says he's sure the mafia will kill him unless he gets protection. He doesn't get killed. That could mean 2 things: the mafia assumed Dylflon would get his protection, so they voted for somebody else. A lucky hit: the guardian. Or Dylflon is actually with the mafia, so he didn't get voted.

Then in this round he can't prove he is the guardian, because guess what: his target got killed. Convenient or unlucky? I don't know.

On the other hand, Ric is trying very hard to convince us he is a good guy. But I do figure this is his first game, which might explain his enthusiasm.

I'm thinking along the same lines as Angrist. Why didn't Dylflon get killed then? I don't know. It is suspicious. I give Dylflon one more round to prove himself and/or give us some more information.

If I don't see any big changes, next round I vote for him.

If I'm not killed, of course :)
