Apparently this happened a couple of weeks ago but I just saw it.

This 200+ pound dude runs up and lays out this women...which he happened to do in front of MMA fighter Roger Huerta (video says ex, but he currently fights). Huerta is probably 100 pounds lighter than the other guy.

You don't actually get to see what he does to the guy, but like 10 seconds after the fight starts the big guy is covered in blood and can't stand up.

I wonder if there are any laws that consider MMA fighter's bodies to be weapons.

Even if they aren't, I'm pretty sure there are laws against assault. While morally, I am with Roger, legally he is gong to jail (if the ass-beatee presses charges).

I'm thinking that dude may not press charges unless the woman presses charges.

If I was her I'm not sure that I would, I would feel pretty avenged as is.

Everyone's body is considered a weapon if used to [brutally] harm anyone else.

Good for him though, really.
If anything happens to him it will suck, because he was standing up for an innocent person.

I thought the rumor police determined it wasn't Roger Huerta? Irregardless, I heard MMA fighters aren't supposed to do this shit because they are trained to beat people down.

Devil's advocate: On that note, I do not necessarily think it is morally okay for someone to go beat the shit out of someone else because they hit a girl. I'm tired of these rampant double standards in this pro-feminism, post-woman society. If women are on an even keel, then stop with the "no woman ever deserves to get hit" bullshit. Either man up and say, "no HUMAN BEING deserves to get hit," or admit that some women might be egging on a punch to the face. What if the girl was punching him first, or stabbed him, or cheated on him, or something really extreme?

The alternative is we, as a society, admit that men and women are not on an even keel and that we should not hit women because *gasp* they are different than men.

But seriously, the term misogynistic in the title is reading way too deep into a situation that really boils down to putting a bunch of shitty people into a melting pot, gender aside.
