Just would like to bring to your attention...

That the Canucks are tied for first in the league at 49 points. So, anyone else follow the NHL? It's my second religion.

SECOND religion?

ha! it's my first and foremost religion :D

I like the Canucks and every other Canadian team other than Ottawa, but my team is, always was, and always will be the TORONTO MAPLE LEAFS

GO LEAFS GO

What is it with you and teams that wear blue and white? you wouldn't happen to be a cubs fan would you?

Personally I love my hawks, but unfortunatly the hawk home games aren't televised so I dont see them very often.

Null 12-29-2002 11:24 PM

they arent televised?? hmm. why not?

i can watch all 82 games on TV for Wings. hawks have a nice fanbase. i dont know why they wouldnt televise the games.

Oh, and BTW about this topic....

Canucks arent tied for first anymore. :D they're tied for 2nd. ;)

The Germanator 12-29-2002 11:28 PM

I think the Flyers are still tied for first or something...but they are mediocre at best...they suck.

Null 12-29-2002 11:33 PM

flyers tied for first in thier devision at 43

vancouver and ottawa tied for 2nd in the league at 49

detroit first in league at 50

Crono 12-30-2002 09:49 AM

Yeah!! Go Buffalo!! Haven't even won 10 games yet!!

I like all the Canadian teams, but Toronto would have to be my favourite...

Joeiss 12-30-2002 11:31 AM

Mogilny, Sundin and Belfour are my heroes.

Leafs rock, and Vancouver rocks too. Cloutier is sweet (I have him in my pool).

Seth 12-30-2002 02:57 PM

I'd just like to point out that Vancouver has 1 more win over Detroit...so once we win our game tomorrow we'll be a point and 2 wins ahead:) Ottawa is doing good as usuall but their fan base sucks. To many Leaf fans out there.

just like to point out vancouver has 2 more losses then detroit. ;)

and if you win the next game, may be a point ahead. however you'd of played 1 extra game.

have to count them when they played the same amount of games.

right now same about of games, they in 2nd. :p

hopfully soon we get 2 of our better players back that have been out pretty much the whole year.

Vancouver is doing good tho picking up where they left off the 2nd half of last season. then again with colorado doing craptacular *snicker snicker snicker* they not really having a team to compete with.

however i expect colorado to take first in that division when its all over. ( dont want em to. but i think they will)

Seth 12-30-2002 04:09 PM

Nevermind....just posted useless crap that made sense at the time but now it doesn't.

nWoCHRISnWo 12-30-2002 06:03 PM

Almost all the Canadian teams are in play-off spots right now and Vancouver & Ottawa are close to the top of the league, plus Lemieux is dominating the league in offense. I love hockey.

12-30-2002 11:52 PM

I'm sure if you had a dish with the hockey package you could see every hawk game, but the home games aren't televised in chicago. The hawks owner Bill Wurtz believes that if the games are televised people won't go to the stadium. The fact of the matter is he could probably make more money on a tv contract than he could on home games alone. At one point in time he may have been right but he is so hated by hawk fans that he refuses to televise the games out of pure stubborness.

Null 12-31-2002 12:29 AM

yanno. the detroit Lions do the same thing... unless a home game is sold out. they dont televise it. problem is the team sux and no one wants to see them :D

However our wings. every game always is on TV. they block out ESPN when its on there. and put it on a local channel. And every game is sold out. over and over.

so i have to think the theory of people not going to a game if its on TV is wrong.

*shrugs* ah well.
