Telemarketer Fun
 

Ever pick up the phone and have a telemarketer talk to you as though you were the man of the house? Well, some are so ambitious, that you can't say "I'm now who you think I am!" before they spill the whole story.

I find it amusing. I just picked up the phone and this lady went into an 8-minute speach (all with one long breath, it seemed) about a program collecting money to teach kids about the evils of drugs.

After saying... "Uuuuuuhhhh... my dad's out." She even asked if I wanted to make a personal donation with my own money, heh.

I swear though, telemarketing would be a fun job. You'd be able to corner people into wasting their money on programs which have been proven to fail.

What're your thoughts?

I think it's fun being the person being cornerd myself. When they answer I pretend to be a 4 year old and they talk to me about their program and ask me if I'd like to donate or whatever and I tell them I have to ask my parents and I'll be right back. Then I never say another word. I make obscene sounds until they hang up or somtimes they'll say things to their coworkers like, "What the ****?" :D
