Nintendo Can't Make a Cow, but they can Milk a PokeMon

I mean as if having Red,Green, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby and Sapphire wasn't enough for Nintendo.

They are now re-releasing Red and Green in Japan with slight tweaks with the titles Fire Red and Leaf Green. Other than some tweaks, and being compabitle with Ruby and Sapphire, I don't think there is much new.

Boy o boy, now you got to re-buy 2 old games in order to get all the PokeMon in 2 new games....

I liked Pokemon back when I was in grade 7 (5 years ago)... It is just not good anymore.

I look foward to some new Pokemon fun. I can't wait for Collusseum!

Ooh, I was wondering how they were going to do that. It's kind of smart.

I liked the first ones better anyways, so it'll be fun to play a revamped version! I went back to Red the other day and my eyes couldn't take it. o_o

Pokemon Red, Pokemon blue, Pokemon green, Pokemon yellow, Pokemon silver, Pokemon gold, Pokemon aqua blue, Pokemon reddish violet, Pokemon lime-e-lime, Pokemon grayscale, or Pokemon apple-orange.

They're all the same s**t if you ask me. And they're re-releasing the same s**t how many times now...? This must be like the 15th time. Good job Nintendo, now stupid kids will buy the same game thinking it's a different game just because it's a different color with 5 different Pokemons... Well, it's the truth....

Ginkasa 09-13-2003 03:51 AM

Umm... It says they're rereleasing Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire as Leaf Green and Fire Red, not the original Green and Red...

When they relese a Pokemon RPG on cube, or cube 2, thats when Id consider buying it.

Haha you're right! They're not upgrades of the first 2 games!

These two games, according to reports, will be slight tweaks to the already released Pokemon: Ruby Version and Pokemon: Sapphire Version that's been available in Japan since late last year.

BreakABone 09-14-2003 10:02 AM

Looks like a remake of Red and Green to me

Is there really a difference...? I mean, they all are just about the same ****... Maybe except the GBA and GBC ones, but now the GBA one will be the same too when this "port" comes out.

It's all part of a master plan to train a new race of slave beings. Release the same game with a new pokemon, charge full price, and watch the lemmings.

Gotta catch 'em all!

It's also the fact that they color-code them... I think people might be a little less skeptical if they numered them, and made these like, Pokemon 4.2 and 5.2.
Also, the games are coming out really fast, and they are sacrificing quality for quantity.
They aren't very good, but we'll see what happens.

Pokemon Red was an awesome game. I loved it.

Pokemon Silver was an awesome game. I loved it.

Pokemon Sapphire wasnt such an awesome game. I still like it.

Pokemon has such a bad stereotype, and the TV show (which sucked) gave it such a bad name its not funny. The Cards didnt help much either. I admit that for a while, when I was a kid, I played the card game, but it didnt take long to realize it was a stupid game and a waste of money.

But I still like the games. They are an innovative, original idea, and I enjoy them.

I'll admit I too played the Card game. I still have a butt-load of cards. I still have like one that is worth like 50 bucks though, last time I checked?! Anyway I'll admit it sucked, but it's gameplay mechanics made it a lot easier for me to step up to magic:The Gathering in like 7th grade. I just wish Card games were a lot cheaper. I would totally play magic again if boosters were only a dollar.

And in that screen of the re-makes, At least Bulbasaur and Charmander looked really cool. Whoa!

:)
