Quick Question
1) If I had a highspeed connection would my pc have to be on 24/7?
|
Do you mean your computer or your connection?
Because you can turn off your computer anytime you want. Your connection stays on as long as you are connected. So, you could unplug it when your not using it if you are worried about viruses/hackers. Otherwise it will be on whenever your computer is on. |
Thank you for responding to my post =-D
Also! If I have two NIC's can my pc be turnned into a router? |
Computer's don't act as routers.. :p You buy yourself a router for that.

Actually they do. and it is quite a good way if done right. Many big companies or people with huge networks use a computer as a Router/Firewall/Network Hub. Majority use Linux as that tho. wouldnt trust windows :p |

And a computer can only act as one with the right modifications. You couldn't take, say, a laptop, and hook two computers up to it without the right bits and pieces. |
