Team Banner/Logo
 

Would you guys like to proudly display a special team banner in your signatures or a logo of some sort?

If so, please submit your designs and/or ideas and then if we get more than one suggestion, we'll take a vote, and then we'll display the chosen one for the duration of this game.

I guess the only requirement is that it has "S.T.A.R.S." in it somewhere. Maybe an inspirational quote or a picture that's related to the Special Tactics and Rescue Service.

Anyway, yeah, just submit your thoughts and creations so we can show our team spirit to the audience and intimidate our enemy. :)

Im not any good with Photoshop, so I cant make us a banner. Rndm is awesome at that stuff though, so maybe he could make us something.

As for our slogan/quote, I think this one by Winston Churchill seems appropriate:

"Victory at all costs, victory in spite of
all terror, victory however long and
hard the road may be; for without
victory there is no survival."

This one seems good mainly because of the last line: "Without Victory there is no survival."

So, if you wanted to GM, you could actually just leave off everything except: "Without victory there is no Survival".

Seeing as how we are playing survivor, and the theme is survival horror, it should work.

While that Churchill quote may be good, this one by Dr. Dre may be a bit more appropriate.

It's very inspirational; I use the Chronic's guidance to get through the everyday hustle and bustle.

Dyne works wonders with Photoshop. I'm sure he'll make us a banner when he gets home today.

Yeah, Dyne is pretty awesome with photoshop.

Or, Random could make us one. Ive seen some of his stuff...very suave.

I enjoy graphic design, so I would've helped make a banner at the slightest hint, no competetive urges at mind. However, this sounds like it will turn into a competition, which eats all the fun out of designing a piece.

Oh well, I'll submit one anyway, as I've nothing better to do. May it not turn into a popularity contest.




About the image:
- The guy on the left is Ogre, who dresses much like a zombie from resident evil while he is on tour, and has loose connections with KMFDM.
- The guy on the right is a barbarian from Diablo II using a warcry. The image is a 3D render by Ben Barker, who I have no affiliation with.
- The quote is by Churchill, which is not attributed. I don't fear someone sueing me over a Churchill quote, however.
- Words italicized: At all costs, Terror, and Survival... each connecting to the group motivation, theme, and game.
- The Survivor keywords (outwit-last-play) are displayed next to other key words in the quote: at all costs, however long and hard, and no survival.

The quote is excellent because its references to the keywords of Survivor appear in chronological order O_o. Excellent find, Vampyr.

And its brilliant how you matched up the phrases with the tradition survivor "outwit, etc, etc".

Sweet... talk about unity! Look at all the people using the signature.

On the other hand, I can't see any "Umbrella Corps" signatures... I feel we may trounce the competition by our unity alone.

Does anyone else find it ironic that Rndm makes a post like this, and actually creates the sig himself, but doesnt use it? :p

Well, I was wondering... would I take out my animated gif sig, or add another tile? I made it 400 x 100 just so it could fit in it... the problem is, I'd have to get on my old computer with Fireworks, again, to add it into the sig.

Also, I see Jonbo now is wearing their sign.

Hmm, indeed, perhaps these signature banners are similar in construction to the forging of the One Ring. Perhaps we're all just being bound in the darkness, servants to a higher, evil power, waiting to destroy... :sneaky:
