STAR OCEAN™ Till the End of Time™ (STAR OCEAN) will be released on the PlayStation 2 in Director’s Cut format. The
first PS2 installment in the acclaimed science fiction RPG series, the Director’s Cut version is considered to be the
culmination of the Developer’s true vision. STAR OCEAN builds on the first-rate concepts of earlier games in the series
and uses the technological capabilities of the PS2 to surpass them. In addition, the larger data capacity of the Director’s
Cut allows for multiple added extras providing the most complete game package possible. Incorporating the new
features with gorgeous, extended cinematic sequences and an unparalleled real-time battle system, including a new
VS. mode, STAR OCEAN is sure to attract a new group of admirers and thrill the longtime fans of the series.

Four hundred years have passed since the climactic battle with the “Ten Wise Men”. Currently it is 772 (space calendar).
Humans and aliens co-exist, some in advanced societies and others in less-developed ones. The Galaxy Federation
continues to research the cosmos in order to gain more influence in Space. STAR OCEAN’s protagonist, Fayt Leingod
brings his family and childhood friend, Sophia Esteed, to the Federation-managed resort planet Hyda for a long
deserved vacation. Their dreamy holiday turns into a nightmare when Hyda is attacked by an unknown space military.
In the heat of the attack, Fayt is separated from his family and Sophia and begins an emotional quest into the unknown
to find his loved ones.

• The ultimate sci-fi epic for enthusiasts of space travel and discovery, overflowing with adventure, exploration,
moving plot turns and frenetic battles. Players can enjoy stunning graphics in all aspects of the game,
including cut-scenes, maps, battle sequences, character rendering and futuristic environments in STAR
OCEAN.
• An advanced real-time battle system is implemented, allowing for a party of three to freely move around the
3D battlefield. Players can execute synchronized attacks and other collaborative actions. *Two new
characters have been added enhancing strategic capabilities as well as story.
• Presenting an astounding visual cinematic experience, the expanded capacity of the North America release
for STAR OCEAN adds all-new events, character stories, voice-overs, background music and extended CG
sequences shown in as the Developer’s originally envisioned.
• For the first time, fully polygonal graphics have been incorporated in STAR OCEAN, made possible by the
PS2. A spectacular world can now be explored in breathtaking detail. *New dungeons are added, one
constructed of puzzle stages and the other in which elemental strategies must be implemented.
• Four completely new VS. modes can be unlocked, allowing for battle against the CPU, another character or
three-way battle. Several costumes can be selected for all characters from eight selectable characters.
• Dolby Pro Logic®II sound is used in STAR OCEAN, adding yet another element of depth to the adventure.
Players will hear detailed sounds such as far away waterfalls and the approaching footsteps of an enemy.

CHARACTER PROFILES
Fayt Leingod [main character]
age: 19, male/Earth
Fayt Leingod is an honest young man. Somber but extremely headstrong, his parents are the most renowned
and highly respected scholars of Symbological Genetics in the Pangalactic Federation. Fayt also studies
Symbological Genetics at the Bachtein Science University, and while he is studious, he prefers playing sports and
games to studying. He commits himself daily to martial arts practice in the “battle simulator.” Although he can be
stubborn at times, he is thoughtful and never abandons a person in need.

Sophia Esteed [main character]
age: 17, female/Earth
Sophia Esteed is a very straightforward girl with a warm smile that comforts all those around her. Also a student
at Bachtein, she and Fayt have been friends since they were toddlers. She looks up to Fayt like a big brother,
and like him, she reaches out to people in need. She also has a fondness for cats.

Peppita Rossetti
age: 14, female/Velbayes
Peppita Rossetti is a young dancer for the Rossetti Troupe. As she dances gracefully across the stage, her silver
hair and golden skin mesmerize all who are present. Everyone around her says she will grow up to be a beautiful
woman, and she’s hardly the type to disagree. Aware of her beauty, she draws even more attention to herself by
wearing bright red scarves around her wrists and waist. She has difficulty expressing herself and tends to hide
her true emotions behind an easygoing façade. As a result, she sometimes looks like something weighs heavily
upon her heart.

Cliff Fittir
age: 36, male/ Klaus III
Cliff Fittir, a remarkable athlete, acts like a tough guy but has a gentle nature. Particular about his likes and
dislikes, he indulges in the things he loves and prefers a simple life. Cliff has three green lines on his neck, a
distinctive characteristic of Klausian males. The Klausian have bodies superior to those of humans. For example,
their athletic skills and eye sight are far better.

Nel Zelpher
age: 23 female/Elicoor
Nel Zelpher is a strong-willed secret agent assigned to watch Fayt’s party under orders from an unknown entity.
She is a mysterious individual, and her origins are unknown. Nel came prepared to sacrifice herself or others for
the sake of her mission, but her kind heart gets in the way, presenting her with many dilemmas and tough
decisions.

Roger S. Huxley
age: 12, male/Menodix
Roger Huxley lives in a mountainous area with the other Menodics, a race that never grows taller than three feet
high. He makes every effort to prove he’s a “real man.” He has two underlings and together they take “tests of
manhood,” hoping to outdo a rival group inside the village. He is immensely curious and even at his young age
has a fondness for women. He often uses his youth to act much more innocent than he really is.

*Mirage Koas [new character]
age: 27 female/Klaus III
Known as Cliff’s partner, she is a Klausian woman and one of the members of the Anti-Pangalactic Federation
Organization. Her family runs a martial arts school and she has known Cliff ever since he joined the school. She
has also studied martial arts, and it is rumored (although unconfirmed) that her skills surpass most, including
Cliff. *Mirage’s appearance as a party member was added to the Japanese release of the Director’s Cut.

*Adray Lasbard [new character]
age: 58 male/Elicoor
Biological father of the current Crimson Blade, Clair, Adray has great offensive magical skills. His knowledge of
the ruins surpasses that of any others and now works as an explorer of the seas away from his previous role on
the frontline. *Adray’s appearance in the game was added to the Japanese release of the Director’s Cut.
