Ninja Gaiden Update
Well for everyone who ever doubed the combination of Xbox Live and a hard drive, check this out:
http://xbox.ign.com/articles/525/525...html?fromint=1 Not only is Ninja Gaiden a sick game straight out of the box, but now Team Ninja is releasing upgrades to the camera, engine and adding new enemies and weapons all over Xbox Live. I found this quote about the new engine to especially amusing: Quote:
Ninja Gaiden v1.1 will be released in August, and I for one am exstatic. As good as that game is, you can always use more replayability. |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
No, that sound is the sound of me laughing at the thought of Microsoft continually trying to say the Xbox isn't a PC when they go ahead and allow somebody to blatantly call an update to a game version "1.1."
Seriously. I'm not saying it's a bad thing that they're releasing an update (though I do think they should have done it right the first time). I just think the philosophy behind it is a little warped. |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
Oh Die already it's not a pc. It's just got all the stuff PS2 didn't want to add. PS2 is a pc too the only true gaming console I've seen is the GC because it sucks

Ace, sorry if you hate the Gamecube. You could support your claims that it sucks though. Anybody that understands irony can see it here. Both with the Microsoft situation and with your post. First you blatantly say that it's not a PC: Quote:

Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
Let's keep this thread simple and to the point. ABOUT THE NINJA GAIDEN UPDATE
which btw sounds pretty cool. Make it tougher, faster, with a better camera and more enemies |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
You know, people keep on criticizing the Xbox by saying that its a PC, yet I have yet to see one example of how incorporating some PC architecture into a console has done anything but make the Xbox a better console.
Mariolover, you say that it's "warped". Please explain how the philosophy of adding extra content to already great games is a bad thing. |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
This is how online game updates should be...
Back in the day everyone was like "Online and hard drive? That means developers will release crap-ass retail versions at first, then eventually make them better with patches!"... But no, Ninja Gaiden is supposed to be awesome to begin with, and they're using a patch to keep things fresh and improve the game further... How is that bad? Even if it's like a PC, how is improving things in an already good game and mixing it up a bit to keep things fresh bad in any way, shape, or form? |

The PC obivosly has good pionts to add to the gaming field why not add that technolgy to the consuls and make the gaming experience better. Then to just produce the same thing over and over. This is a great ideal for consuls now oyu can play your games over and over and when you get bored ohh look new content. Or they could do what metal gear soild did and make a good game them remake the game with added content a few months later and still charge $60 for it. As for calling the version 1.1 so what if you look at a ps2 youll see version numbers of the dvd drivers ect. Im sure somewere in the GC youll see a version number its standard what do you want them to call it version "Im my eyes not as good because its not nintendo" get over it. end rant its good that they adding new content to the game although I probly wont pick up xbox live just for the added content. |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
Wow. You guys totally twisted my posts.
I specifically said: "I'm not saying it's a bad thing that they're releasing an update..." And I wasn't saying it was bad that they were incorperating PC aspects into the Xbox. I'm saying that Microsoft's claims are humorous to me. Quote:
I don't like the game; sue me. I thought it was one of the most over-hyped games I've ever played. Surely my biggest disappointment on the Xbox. Not that it's an aweful game. It was just a huge letdown for me. I can see why others enjoyed it. But it wasn't my game, and it felt unpolished. At any rate, I obviously don't hold the majority when it comes to my opinion of the game. But I have an opinion, and I've backed it up. Quote:
As for me being on a "not as good because it's not Nintendo" rant, I don't think that I was. It's so funny when flame replies come, because that's when the true fanboys show themselves. Please read my posts before getting mad at me. |

And what I dont get is were in the article that you got they were fixing problems with the game. All there doing is add EXTRA content as well as some new weapons and new enimes. Quote:

I remeber when Metal Gear Solid 2 came out for ps2. It was a great game and right when I beat it, bam there Meatal Gear Solid 2 substance and they wanted me to drop $60 just for some crappy added content that would have been nice to have but not worth pushing back the release date a great deal of time or charging me $60 for. Quote:
Its not my type of game either but the facts are that it is hard and it does make you want to give up and break the first thing you see, but for me hating it sooo much it still calls to me and makes me want to play. In my eyes anygame that can piss me off and still make me wanting more is a damn good game. Quote:

Yeah, I agree with Hero also. :\ |
Re: Ninja Gaiden Update
AHHH, Vampyr and Hero are wrong about them not fixing anything. They are fixing the camera after people complained about it. So its not just all added content.
