Dog mauls baby to death
 
Stupid dog. There have been many threads about attacks on dogs, but how about when dogs attack humans? This is bull****.

Family members told authorities the pit bull had lived with them for 14 years without incident.

Kerss said the grandmother requested that the pit bull be euthanized, and the dog was taken to an animal shelter.

For some reason, I don't feel as sad reading this.

In defence of the dog, I'd also like to say that the parents should have been more closely watching the baby. Since babies don't know how to act around animals, it's probably not a good idea to just let him freely be situated near two dogs.

The baby might have been small enough to seem like another dog to the pitbull, so when the baby grabbed it, it migh have been defending itself.

And having a history of aggresive behaviour means nothing, animals are animals, they will be violent, its what they do, especially a pitbull.



EDIT: If you put a baby next to an angry pitbull, what do you expect to happen?

we are...but our disgust is conceiled by the stupidity of the parents/grandma of the baby.

i think i speak for everybody when i said that...most people anyway.

I think I speak for everybody here when I say dogs are cuter than people, and therefore it's more sad and disgusting when someone hurts them... Obviously... I mean come on... Look at de wittle puppy staring at you wif it's puppy dog eyes oooooo!...

Now look at this damn baby with it's creepy bug eyes and stupid look on it's face.... GOD I'D JUST LOVE TO PUNT THAT DAMN THING OFF A BRIDGE!!!

Wow you really don't like babies. Who can blame you though. They grow up and pollute the planet. I'm not saying what DeathsHand did about punting them off a bridge but in the words of Maddox"I'm not saying we should kill babies, I'm just saying that if you're giving one a bath and the phone rings you should just leave it. Plus at the funeral you will get brownies, and brownies rule." Might not be exact words but you get the message.

Pitbulls scare the living **** (yes its alive) out of me!

One of my neighbors down the street lets their Pit out without a leash. Everytime I walk by their house to get to the Basketball courts, the Pit Madd doggs me and always seems right about to start running towards me until the owner calls it back. One of these days I'm going to get attacked :)

this doesn't suprise me at all... i had a "Great Uncle once removed" who was attacked by a pitbull that had lived with him for like EVER and had never shown any signs of agression. It tore his legs off!!!!

I feel really bad for the babies family, I'd think if a dog of mine killed one of my kids I'd punt that thing off a bridge.

Lol you'll have to get used to DH's sarcasm. :D

This is tragic. But as always, the people could have prevented it, not the dog. :(
