The Village(Severe spoiler Warning!)

**I warn you, if you want to enjoy the new movie THE VILLAGE at all, you CAN NOT read ANYTHING in this thread, at least not until you have seen the movie. If you really have no desire to see it and know you arent going to see it, I guess your fine, whatever. But if you think you might go see it, DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER**

Okay a few questions that I feel need to be discussed about it. First off, why did Noah stab Lucious in the first place? Was it just because he's retarted, or did he love Ivy or what? Secondly, why did he try to attack Ivy in the woods? Was he trying to prevent her from getting the medicine? Was he even really retarted?

Discussion begin!

He loved Ivy..and I don't know why he attacked her. Maybe because she loved Lucious, and don't forget, she slapped him..

I think it was crazy how when he was in the woods, he acted as if he was her imagination. You know..one minute standing there, then she hides behind the tree, and then he's right behind the tree when she looks(though she was blind, maybe she had another sense, like how she could see everyone's *color*). I just thought that was weird. Also, why did we never find out Lucious's color?

Can I hear some opinions on the movie?
Majority of opinions say it royally sucked.

People say that it sucked because it wasn't scary. This guy's movies aren't supposed to be scary...........god...morons. It's all about the fear that you manifest. The fear is all your imagination. This movie was a little freaky, but there was a different meaning behind it. An attempt at innocence. They built the village and secluded it from all the world as an attempt to create innocence and preserve it.

been waiting for this one for a long time, loved his other 3 movies. not going to waste the money on this. i was dissapointed with the previews, really dissapointed with the reviews, and friend got draged to it and said it was pretty stupid.

i cant give a direct opinion on it, obviously. but after looking at all the 'signs' im gunna follow my 'sixth sense' and skip this one. :p (sorry, couldnt fit unbreakable in there, hehe) perhaps i'll rent it when it comes on dvd

Its not a bad movie, its just you cant go in expecting as many freaky moments as Signs, but I feel if you go in, and keep an open mind about things, anyone can like this movie. Did anyone see The Truman show? I compare it to that in a lot of ways. I for one loved the Truman Show...If someone came up to me and asked me if they would like The Village, I would say "Did you like the Truman Show." If they did, Id say they would like The Village. But on the other hand, that kinda sorta ruins the movie a little bit.

I dislike it for a different reason besides lack fo scariness.

And that reason is the fact that it takes place i present day. The scene where she's on the road took everyone right out of the movie. It wasn't the smartest thing to do.

Yes, but I think they kinda wanted to sorta take you out of the movie...you know, sort of suprise you...I'll admit, the exectuion couldve been better, but I liked what they were trying to do with it.

Worst movie of all time. Period.

It didn't help that I predicted the stupid plot twist at the beginning of the movie, lol.. So when it happened, I wasn't shocked at all.

It was sooo bad. Not worth the $6.50 CAD I spent for a double feature with King Arthur. I heard King Arthur was better than the village, but I fell asleep in my friends car, haha.
