I feel pretty stupid now.
I read this on the last page, but I forgot to work that solution out. I just changed my 5.1 to stereo (it asks me to reboot, but if I remember it right, I can just click no and it'll work).

But now that we're at it... I'm trying to start an MSN conversation, but I can't establish a connection.
And YES, I'm using Skype, but I have no one to test it on yet.
(anyone else using it?)
