The boy, now 16, told radio station 3AW today that he last spoke to his mother ``a couple of months ago'' and tried to make peace with her.

``I've asked to move back home and she said no ... so there's not much more I can do, mate. It's not my decision,'' he said.

Ellis was not solely responsible for the affair, the boy said.

``Everyone's saying I've got no brains and can't think for myself,'' he said.

``You're saying I was seduced and I've got no mind of my own and I didn't know what I was doing. That's totally wrong, mate...

``Of course she had a responsibility and she's done the wrong thing, but it takes two to tango...

``She's made one mistake that everyone's going to jump all over.''

The boy criticised media reports that Ellis had bombarded him with 499 text messages, saying he reciprocated.

``It goes both ways, mate, but they didn't print that, did they?'' the boy said.

The boy said he remained unaffected by the affair.

``Obviously it (the affair) was against the law, but I'm telling you I'm not affected by it, and I wasn't seduced,'' he said.

``I got along fine for the past year and I'll get along fine for the rest of my life.''

Ellis said as she left the Victorian County Court yesterday: "I got exactly what I deserved."

Child and crime victim advocates yesterday criticised the sentence, but Ellis' lawyer Chester Metcalfe said she had already suffered greatly.

"I'm not sure you could say it was an exceptionally good outcome," Mr Metcalfe told ABC Radio.

"The amount of publicity she has had, the effect of that upon her and her family, that will be with her for life."

Ellis had lost her job, almost lost her marriage, damaged her family and was listed as a sexual offender, he said.

sounds like the boy had fun... in this case...he was old enough to enjoy it ....
