Anyway what people fail to realize is that GameCube was revealed the E3 before it came out. Same deal now with Xbox 360. It really doesn't make too much sense to have even revealed it now seeing as there will be another E3 before it comes out. And Sony just wanted to give people a reason not to get an Xbox 360 and wait for their system.
