For example: Man #1, wearing tight, girl jeans and a tight, XxSlitMyWristsWithMyBleedingHeartValveWhileSuffocatingxX hoodie is walking down the street... His hair, dyed jet black with blonde highlights covering one of his eyes... A piercing on the right side of his bottom lip... His belt studded...
Man #2 yells out an insult, labeling him "Emo" in the process...
Man #1 responds "I'm not Emo! This is just me, I'm expressing myself!"...
Man #1 hopefully then accidentally walks out into traffic while his head is turned to yell at Man #2...

Actually I believe it's popular and trendy to BE and emo kid right now...
That's like saying a few years ago it was popular and trendy to hate Britney Spears and The Backstreet Boys...
And personally, my dislike of people who label themselves applies to all those groups, punks, goths, etc... As does the scenario of denying the label when it is beyond obvious...
