At first I thought the name was stupid, but Super Mario Land, Super Mario World and Super Mario Galaxy, it makes sense when you think of it that way.

Still, I have to say that it doesn't look that good in terms of graphics, which is still a big deciding factor for a lot of people. Yes, it is still in development, but, I mean, it's the same as SMS, minus the very very nice water effects. And, unfortunately, when the dust settles, that's the only thing people will be talking about..

I was planning on buying only a PS3, but with the price announcement, and the quality of the Wii, I'm a Nintendo fanboy once again..
Really? I think the graphics are great.

I see all the Wii games running at 60 FPS with no slowdown. SMS only ran at 30 FPS, and there was slowdown there. So yeah, they could have recycled the models and added a bit, but it looks fluid as hell.

Think of it this way. Metroid Prime ran at 60 FPS, and it looked absolutely fantastic. Now they've revamped the hardware, added more texture buffer space (remember the first level in SMS, the mountains? horrible textures), and basically allowed every game to run at 60 FPS. Starfox Adventures looked way better than Wind Waker on this fact alone, and that was gamecube.

Developers have no reason to go 30 FPS on Wii.
