You're right, each tribe wasn't from one country each. I looked it up, there was an Irish tribe, an Angolan tribe, and a Laotian tribe.
My guess is neither you nor Typhoid know many Mexicans and/or latinos. There is a rather large difference between 'Spaniard' and even 'Hispanic'.
