Re: Zelda TP - Impressions? Progress? NO SPOILERS PLEASE.
I just don't think it's intended to be a revolution in and of itself. For me, it takes a ton of my favorite Zelda elements that span the series, and builds on them. There's a lot more of this and a little more of that. But on the other hand, there was also a lot of new stuff I didn't expect that I thought added cool elements to the game. I don't know how far you are in the game (sounds like you may have finished it?) but there were more collectables, more items, plus significant developments to the world's size, lore, and creatures.
As for the controls, I'll probably play the Gamecube version at some point, but I don't think I'll buy it unless Nintendo gives me some horrible preorder bonus (I wouldn't put it past them). Personally, all of my control woes were past me by the third dungeon. Ranged weapons are far superior to anything I've ever experienced with an analogue stick; and I've gotten so used to the melee I don't think that going to a traditional controller will make anything easier - and I guess I was just one of those people that felt that much cooler swinging my Wiimote around looking like a retard. And the added learnable combo-system made it that much cooler.
