I have to disagree. All Metroid games totally engulf me. When I played Metroid Prime 1 and 2, I never had to worry about controls. I díd however have to worry about looking at the map, solving puzzles, looking at things in new ways.
So I would say that Metroid games are more difficult, but for those who like it, they provide a great experience.
Doesn't mean that I never feel the urge to play a simpler shooter like Halo.
