I don't know.. I think it was worthy of a 10 personally. Its kinda like the end of an era, this game wrapped up a series that keps reinvententing itself and kept getting 9.7-9.9 scores. IN the whole action game world, its rare to find a series that lasted two decades and that's still one of the most quality games of its time.
I think the MGS franchise is the most memorable gaming experience I will ever have all around. I mean, there's two guys in this thread admitting the game made them cry. (this guy isn't admitting shit, but you can!
) It just goes to show how masterful it is.
I guess the knock could be the gameplay in itself (or lack thereof it), but I think it was very polished. I'm the type that prefers to keep it classic and sneak, so I probably had to face a lot more of the environmental elements.. For one part I did do the whole run and gun thing and was shocked at how easy it was.
I dunno though. I think this is one of those games that I'll look back at, and will say is one of the big reasons I love video games. A story lke that couldn't be done justice in a theatre or in a book.
