Joking aside, though. My biggest rant is that, to an extent, the Nintendo haters were right this time around. Nintendo screwed up, the Wii was an colossal mistake and a massive step backwards. I really had high hopes for it, but as far as I'm concerned the Wii was an epic fail in every way except sales. The price point is way too high, and they're not going to lower the price because people are still buying the system because some shovelware caught their eye. There's is nothing original that the Wii offers except for a controller and a few gems by Nintendo and a couple third parties. There's no justifiable reason for the way they dumbed the system down from a technical standpoint. But what's even worse is that developers (Nintendo included) still aren't even taking advantage of the graphical horsepower available. The Wii is literally two or three times more powerful than the Gamecube, and yet we're still dealing with graphic that would have been mediocre at best for Gamecube.
There's just no excuse.
