Default TavernTales 17: Collision Course

Well, I actually typed out most of this chapter ahead of time on the suggestion of Dylflon, but don't have the time to edit it so shall try that for tomorrow. Anyhow, barring any HUGE problems, second part should be up tomorrow since mostly typed.
-------------------
Geo peered down at the scene below. He could see them talking, discussing, maybe even planning, but suddenly all their attention turned towards the bay. He tried to pinpoint what had grabbed them so much, but he could not make out… wait he saw it. Two vessels or creatures approached the shore rapidly. As they grew closer, he realized that they were not vessels but humans. Did Bond get reinforcement? Geo became antsy for his own back-up to arrive.
The Coalition reached the shore, and their arrival could not have gone any worse. Instead of being met with dread and terror, they found themselves greeted by uproarious laughter. Swan and Fox found that they could not stand up. The scene of three of their former best friends crossing the water together was too much. The fact that Typhoid carried Dylflon like a husband would carry his new bride completed the picture for them.

“You know, I always knew you three were close, but congrats are in order.”

“I got to ask Dylflon, is Typhoid fast in all aspects of his life?”

Typhoid’s entire being filled up with an uncontrollable rage. He wanted to rush over to Swan at the moment and rip his heart out and force it down his throat, but they had been here longer he could not be sure of any traps they set.

Dylflon whispered to Typhoid in hopes that Fox and Swan would not over hear him, “Would you be so kind as to put me down now?” Typhoid’s rage had taken over so much he forgotten that he was still carrying Dylflon. He placed him down on the ground.

“Aww,” Typhoid knew that Swan would be the first person he killed when he had the chance.

“Dyne, what about you? Do you join in on occasions or do you just watch?” Fox’s knew this was pissing them off, but they needed any edge they could get.

“Ha ha. I wonder if Dyne shouts his water breaks whenever he…” Dyne cut off Swan before he could finish that statement.

“Listen, you insignificant little snots! For the last year, we have dismantled GAMES. We have spread our control over Canada like no organization before us. Show us some respect before we kill you!”

Now Fox grew serious, “You know this is your 3rd opportunity today to do us in. Make this one count!”

“Oh! And if you haven’t noticed, we have the numbers advantage now.” Bond and several GAMES agents stepped forward.

Typhoid and Dylflon froze at the realization that they were actually outnumbered. Dyne however wore a look of confidence.

“Yeah, based on pure numbers, we can’t win, but have you thought this all the way through?” Fox, Swan and Bond all looked around confused.

“Let me fill you in then, you decided to stage your huge coup at a bay. Which would be a novel idea, you probably saw us coming miles away, but when dealing with someone who controls water…” Dyne sent a huge tidal wave in the direction of his opposition.
Geo waited in anticipation as the incomers reached the shore. He could now clearly see that there were three men who had came across. The way they were greeted made it clear that they were not allies of the men beneath, but could he turn them into allies?

He continued to watch as the scene unfolded before him. Two of the men with Bond could not control their fits of laughter. Geo could not be certain, but it appeared they knew the three men in some fashion. He wished he could listen in on the conversation.

While Geo focused on the men beneath, he could see that the water behind them was acting funny but why.

Holy shit! One of the men controls water! Geo had to get him on their side now.

What? Geo rubbed his eyes, he swore when the tidal wave hit the shore, he saw a metallic creature in the water, but that could not be true.
