-Feelings of being ripped off. Like I know RDR has plans for DLC that will include 4 player co-op in June, and the first thing that comes to mind is why wasn't that included in the retail version, and do I need to pay more for it?

-Game OF The Year Edition. Similar to the price-collapse model that a lot of gamers follow, why wouldn't a gamer just wait until the edition that comes with all the DLC packed-in for the same low price.

-Userbase splintering. This happens more with DLC in online games, but as you start to release DLC, the pool of people who have X and Y compared to just X or Y is much smaller, which means less likely for you to play with people. And what if your friends don't have.

-Money. And this is the most important reason IMO. I don't want to buy a $60 game, and know that a month after launch I'm gonna need to spend $10 bucks more for the whole story, and then a month after that another 10.

But like it or not all that stuff is happening anyway. I'm just saying make it known from the beginning when the DLC is coming. we all know its gonna come eventually
