Naturally, there are many games that are better suited to the 360/PS3 controller (full camera control is why many prefer the GCN version of Twilight Princess), but in games like Galaxy, I'm willing to give up that camera control because the starbit collecting is an enjoyable enough sacrifice.

For longer sessions, I'll still sit down and play a game that uses little to no motion. But for the crowd Nintendo was trying to expand to, the motion in games like Boom Blox and Wii Sports Resort can't be emulated by a standard control pad.

I love the pointer functionality of the remote for those longer play sessions, but still miss the second analog stick. And yeah, I'm a big fan of the Classic Controller Pro, but v1zzy hit the nail on the head with the controller's needless attachment to the Wii Remote. Yeah, yeah, we get it; it doesn't need batteries, but I'd be willing to put batteries in it to keep the remote out of my lap.
