I guess the irony in all this is that the Lions still suck. They are hugely overrated, and they play a number of good teams down this final stretch.

I still believe we could see them go 9-7, or even 8-8, which is a far cry from their Super Bowl dreams when they had that 5-0 stretch at the beginning of the season. The past few weeks have really STFU Lion's fans.

The Lions play a heated Saints team, a rising Vikings team, the Raiders, the Chargers, and the Packers again.

The Saints and Chargers won't be pushovers and can put up huge offensive points. The Vikings will bring the division rivalry. The Raiders may be a challenge as they are on the up and up. And I have to imagine after today's game, even if the Packers clinch a first-round-bye-home-field playoff berth, they will still play with passion reserved for giant cunts like Jim Schwartz.

Teams with the type of frenetic energy the Lions have who can't stay composed never do well. Jim Schwartz is being paid big bucks to COMPOSE his team. That doesn't just include calling plays and managing the clock: that includes managing your players. I didn't see Schwartz talk with Suh after he was ejected; he said a few passing words, and yelled at the refs.

The sad thing is that there is real talent on that team. Even Suh. If Schwartz redirected that energy towards positive, composed football, they could be a real good team.

Edit: Bond, how is the local news coverage on the Packers? In Chicago on our Bears-biased TV news, they are even ripping into the Lions and Suh. Talking about how today was the "one day out of the year to root for the Packers." How is your media addressing the whole situation?
