GameTavern - View Single Post - Question: Why a D-Pad over a Control Stick for Fighting Games?

In the arcade(as far as I know), the stick isn't as "analogy" as say the console sticks. It doesn't push as far, so it pushes more like if you pushed on a d pad. But if I ever do play fighting games(which I don't that often, not my fav.) I prefer the d pad. Its more quicker to move with(like others have said already).
