Yes, thank God they will actually do something different with the next Mario game!
As for MGS4... hmm... well... I dunno what to think of that. I've never really been a big fan of the series. If Nintendo is making deals with Konami, they should try to get some other good Konami franchises along with MGS (like Castlevania, Silent Hill, Suikoden, etc.).
