Yeah, I think that's the main problem with this WrestleMania, the hype isn't there and the matches seem so damn predictable that no one cares. Anyhow, my predictions for the biggest show of them all...
Let's start with the crap first, Nathan Jones/ UnderTaker vs Big Show/A-Train, I don't see this match being any good, I mean I thought the UnderTaker/BigShow match at No Way Out was surprisingly good well atleast watchable, but with Jones and Train in this match, I don't see them replicating that, I think Taker's streak will prevail here with maybe Jones turning on him afterwards
Winners:Taker/Jones
Rey Mysterio vs Matt Hardy for the Crusierweight title
The WWE did their best not to hype this match, and thanks to good ole President Bush, I've never actually seen how this match came to be, but it should be an interesting bout. I would say it has potential to be MOTN, but I still hold that place for one other match.
Winner:Rey
Los Guerruros vs Team Angle vs Benoit/Rhyno for the WWE Tag Titles
Well, this match was sloppily put together like most tag title matches in the last 4 years or so (There hasn't be a traditional Team vs Team Tag Title match at Mania since WM XV), but the competitiors in here are impressive nonetheless, I just hope the WWE doesn't try and rush it like they did the Triangle Tag Match at survivor Series. This match also has the potential to be MOTN. I think that Team Angle has been crapped on enough during their title run, and the fact that I think the WWe is interested in pushin Rhyno/Benoit as single wrestlers.
Winners: Los Guerroros
Jazz vs Trish vs Victoria for the WWE Women's Title
Well not to diss on the females or anything, but it is a sad day when the Women's Title is probably one of the most important titles in the Federation. I mean this is the only belt with a Champion who has had the title longer than 4 months. Anyhow, even though I really would like to see my Trish-y win the title back, I think the WWE is more interested in pursuing a Jazz vs Victoria feud, so I say..
Winner: Jazz
Vince McMahon vs Hulk Hogan : 20 Years in the Making Street Fight
Maybe, it's me but for a feud that's 20 years in the making, it has had some lackluster build-up, no matter how much they try and get it across on TV via promos or vignettes or vicious attacks, I still don't see why these two hate each other. Does Vince McMahon hate Hogan for making him millions upon millions of dollars? Does Hogan hate Vince for making him a household name around the globe? Maybe, they both hate each other for helping put wrestling on a global scale? Who really knows.. Anyhow, I don't see Hogan winning so either Vince wins with some stupid result which results in Hogan finding a loophole or...
Winner:Hulk Hogan
Triple H vs Booker T for the World Heavyweight
By all powers in the wrestling unvierse, Booker T has everything against him. The curse about winning the last match beofre the PPv, the fact that he is facing Triple H, the underdog face who was made to look strong. You would probably have to be half-insane to even think that Booker T has a chance of walking out of WrestleMania the Champion...
Winner: Booker T
Kurt Angle vs Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title
Well, it should be one of the best mat wrestling matches with some intense back and forth action near the end. The build-up for the feud started hot and fres but thanks to some unseeable events, the buildup really started to dip near the end. Anyhow, it's well been documented that Angle would need surgery after this match...
Winner:Brock Lesnar
HBK Shawn Michaels vs Y2J Chris Jericho
Well this in my mind and opinion has been the only feud that has been given the "WrestleMania" feel. These two have had verbal, physical and mental attacks on each other for the last 3 months or so. They have had the "classic" Mania staredown, and the buildup hasn't made either man seem weaker than the other. In my opinion, Shawn Michaels has always brought out his A-Game at the Biggest stage of them all, and Chris Jericho is probably more motivated for this feud than the one he had at WrestleMania last year. I think this will be the match that cements Jericho's legacy as the "King of the World" and if it doesn't. Shame on WWE and/or Shawn Michaels..
Winner: Chris Jericho
Well there is one more match left and I'll get to that later as my turtles is about to begin.
