You can't put an SD stick into a DDR slot and visa versa because their is a little notch on both kinds of sticks (the notches are in different places on each stick). So even if you tried to put it in the wrong type of slot, you can't.

There are motherboards with both types of slots. You can't use them simulatneously. The DDR will fry, or hte SD will?...no the DDR will fry. I had a computer illiterate friend do that, dumb a-hole. He paid for his mistake. You can have either-or, but not both.
