The PSP's UMD format continues to struggle for acceptance, according to a recent NPD Group report. Will users embrace the UMD, or will it go the way of the Minidisc and the Betamax tape?

Sony can't understand that releasing your own format doesn't mean its going to gain wide-acceptance. I suspect UMD will go the way of the minidisc and Betamax. Beta may have been better but VHS just got more acceptance and majority is what usually wins.
