It was banned about a year ago because of terrorist propaganda. This time it's because of Armenians insulting Ataturk. But the ban'll get lifted in about a month, this happens regularly.

I recently tried to get back into Sonic and the Secret Rings for Wii and I just can't. It's not fun. How in the hell did anyone ever THINK it was fun. It's like, oh, here's a cool stage that you can play for two minutes. WOULD YOU LIKE TO PLAY SMALL LOOPS OF IT AGAIN PICKING UP SHITTY ITEMS OR AVOIDING ENEMIES? No thanks, I want to move on to the next stag- TOO BAD YOU HAVE TO CLEAR THEM ALL AHAHAHAHA

I am fucking fed up with it. I don't want to collect eggs and put them back in nests. In fact, I would rather not start back at the beginning if I fall in the water - which is way too easy since you're always moving forward and have to time jumps based on how far from the ledge you are. Fuck. And talk about ruining immersion. All you get is shitty 2D cutscenes to progress the story. And the fact that for EVERY stage, even the shitty ones, you have to go select them in a slow-loading "book" interface. Total loss of immersion.

NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams is in fact way better.

I saw this earlier today and was really surprised by how good it looks, it seems that Sonic is returning to its roots a little bit!

I never 'got' the Sonic games. It's like a pinball game in one direction. It's too fast for my taste. I want to explore everything in the environment, and if you do that, it's not fun anymore.

My thoughts exactly, and Ive played all of them. I actually thought Sonic's stages on Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 were always pretty fun, that was pretty groundbreaking stuff back in 1999. But then they made you play as big the cat and all fun was lost...

But its really gone downhill since then, and while its hard to tell from this video, it seems like more of the same to me...

Because it's a pseudo 2D side scroller with occasional jumps back into the 3D plane.

Point being is, Sega is bringing back the ingredient necessary for a truly fun Sonic game. Which is speed within a 2D side scrolling world.

Just because they have the technology and power to make a 3D world for Sonic doesn't mean they should.

That lesson comes to them a few games too late though.

It likes making a 3D tetris or Pacman. And I think they did do a 3D Pacman and I'm sure it flopped.

Wow, another 3D Sonic game. And I'm sure this is a "leaked" video.

Look. Sonic 1 and Sonic 2 for the dreamcast promised us some 3D-side scrolling awesomeness, and we got it, like every 4 levels. The 3D sonic games all suck ass. Until Sega says that this new Sonic game is only going to be side-scrolling levels than I'm not impressed.

Sonic hasn't been good since his 2D days. How many crappy 3D Sonic games will Sega have to make before they realize that people just want to play as Sonic (or Knuckles...) in a 3D side-scrolling environment.
