Madworld
I already dig the game. The style is very similar to Frank Miller's Sin City. Which is an awesome comic/movie to begin with and well I love the style.
There is a video floating around but it is taken down just as quickly.
Some early screens.
Quote:
MADWORLD, the first title set for release in Q1 2009, is an inventive third-person action game exclusively for Wii™. Produced by Atsushi Inaba, MADWORLD has a unique black and white style depicting an incredibly sharp backdrop that straddles graphic novels and 3D worlds. As players battle opponents, they must master the use of various weapons and items found within their environment, such as chainsaws and street signs, while entertaining sports commentary adds to the third-person gameplay. With its irreverent humor and over-the-top violence, MADWORLD will deliver a unique core gaming experience currently missing on the Wii system.

Re: Madworld
Well this is gonna come off as fairly "typical" for me in your eyes, but I don't care for it. The style is cool, but it's cool for Sin City... looking at those screens I can hardly make anything out because it's like 90% black. Give me colors Wii and then I might be impressed (no I won't).

Re: Madworld
I think this is Wii's strongpoint - games that aren't realistic and don't need a lot of detail. Because it can't compare graphically with the 360 or PS3, so with comic style, or cartoony style games, it plays up to them.
I personally don't care for it, because it looks like it would get old fast - but who knows.

I guess I can see that.
I personally prefer visually different games.
Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda.
I like Jet Set Radio. Viewtiful Joe. No More Heroes. Paper Mario.
So on and so on.

Re: Madworld
Notice how all of those minus Jet Set was Nintendo?
By the by, JSRF is possibly one of my favourite games.

Re: Madworld
BaB linked me this yesterday, and I thought it looked cool, and then I learned fucking SHINJI MIKAMI is working on this game, along with Platinum Games, which USED to be "Clover". I hold RE4 in very high regard, as well as all of the Clover games - Killer 7, Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, and so on. I am definitely picking this up now. It will be the perfect companion to No More Heroes.

You share my main concern: that won't be anle to make anything our and end up screaming at the TV, like when I'm trying to play GTA during the daytime and I can't see shit.

I'm shocked that Youtube allows that trailer on their site...
