Re: 4 Flops hard
I've got it in my hands right now.
Well, not actually IN my hands, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this right now.
But I can't wait to play it.

Re: 4 Flops hard
I have about 3 and a half hours of play time on the clock...
First off there's a nice little (brief) recap of the major events of RE1, 2, and 3 at the beginning... Although it doesn't go into too much detail...
So yeah the game is good... The stiff behind the back camera took a little getting used to, but once I did it started to look quite nice...
Another thing is it just feels like you should be able to sidestep, but you can't...
The reviews made it sound like they skipped on the story in favor of the action, however to me there seems to be about as much story development throughout the game as there was in the past games... So that's a relief, I'm just still hoping for some tie-in to past RE games other than Leon and Ada's presence...
So like yeah... I'm sure IGN and Gamespot's pretty scoring system is more convincing, but like buy it and stuff...

Re: 4 Flops hard
Oh, HOT.
I played it for 6 hours straight before stopping. All I should say is, this game is well worth the money. It's so SWEETT. SWEET ASS SWEET.

Re: 4 Flops hard
Yeah. I'm totally pumped. I played it for five hours last night, and I gotta say, it's one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a while (and that's including Half-Life 2, Halo 2, MGS3).
And the graphics? Oh, man. I can't even get over them. They're absolutely gorgeous. I can hardly wait to get further into the game to see what happens.

Re: 4 Flops hard
How far are you now?
P.S. Anyone playing this game for the first time -- when you get to a gate that you open with a switch, please take the left gate. It saves headaches, trust me.

Re: 4 Flops hard
man, everything i've read about the game says it is the best game on the cube... now that's saying something. they say its' game of the year material. perfect 10's better than halo 2 (not hard to do) etc.... i must pick it up... if only to make sure 3rd parties know their games can sell on a nintendo system.

Re: 4 Flops hard
This is a really good game, but I couldn't see myself buying a Gamecube. But then again, it is dirt cheap.
Needless to say, it's addicting. I'll probably go home today and not even look at my homework. I gotta get across that lift!

That was like the most frustrating part I'd run into so far... Maybe the shotgun would be the best choice (I guess the spray would be enough to knock em off balance and over the railing), but I figured hey, rifle = best aiming in the game!... But the reload is so slow there's no way to kill them all and not get hit at least once...
Then the battle that takes place on the other side = frustrating...
But wait, you're telling me that (from your first report) you hit the 6 hour mark, but weren't even across the lift? I'm at 5 hours 2 minutes... And I'm a short ways past it...
And that's with me taking my time, being all dramatic and walking around, aiming first when I turn corners, etc because it just looks so damn cool...

Re: 4 Flops hard
Hehe, DeathsHand and his need to act cool even in games...
But I agree, it DOES look cooler that way.
Like in World of Warcraft, it's just fun to laugh at people, cry, dance etc. etc... Even though it has no gameplay use.

The Warcraft dances rock! Woooo!... Except for the Night Elf Female dance, it's just lame and skanky...

Ladies and gentlemen, I believe we have a Capcom spy, sent here to over-hype the length of the game...

Re: 4 Flops hard
What?? You don't like the Female Night Elf dance?
Hehe
The Tauren one is super funny, but gets boring pretty fast...
Oh wait, RE4. Nice graphics.
