Re: How do you feel about your next-gen purchase?
Well, I sold my Wii, which I purchased on launch day.
*cough*
It's basically just like every other Nintendo system, but with motion controls (which I really don't think are all they were cracked up to be)...
Better if you have friends (darn!), and only really good for Nintendo's games.
Unless you're a non-gamer who heard about it on the news, then you'll think it's only good for Wii Sports.
Hell, so far Wii's third party lineup seems even weaker than Gamecube's...
Still not sure I can say that I regret it though... I had fun with it for maybe 6-8 months, and sold it for only $10 less than I bought it for... Quite a nice rental price.
360's nice.
But overall I haven't even played it that much since WoW still has a firm grip on my life...
Wouldn't say I regret it, though... I've played a couple really great games, and own a few more that I'm really looking forward to playing once I regain my free will.

Re: How do you feel about your next-gen purchase?
I would say I have been very happy with the Wii. It still amazes me how well Nintendo builds their consoles...I have owned nearly every nintendo system they have made, and I have NEVER had any problems. The one time my Wii was acting up (It wouldnt synch to any controllers), I called Nintendo, and was able to connect to a live person almost immediatley. One of the best experiences with customer service I have ever had, he told me exactly what to do (basically just unplug it), and I have had no problems since. As for the games, I think they are better than ever. My brother said Twilight Princess was a dissapointment, I disagree completley, I loved it. Mario Galaxy was obviously another one that was basically perfect. Its amazing what Nintendo can do when they have a lot of time to develop a game.

Re: How do you feel about your next-gen purchase?
After going through a very rough financial period (which involved selling TV, 360, Wii, and Computer), and now owning again after that ordeal was over with, and reowning all said things in better shape, I don't regret the purchases.
360 gets more usage due to the little things but the Wii is getting more playtime recently due to Brawl. But GTA IV will steal back 360 usage again soon.

Cam, why don't you just call me Sean?
Jesus.
Because me and my brother have an 80 gig for the big screen, and I just got a little 2-port 40 for my bedroom.

NEVER! If I had my way your user name would be Sean and your regular name would be Typhoid.

That would actually be pretty hilarious.
I'd probably answer to "Typh", too.

I'd probably call you Typh if I met you on the street. Just like I say lol instead of laughing.
Anyway, I bought a Wii 2 days after the European launch, and I've had a lot of fun with it. Sometime during the last year, I figured I'd be missing some great games from these generation if I only had a Wii, and somehow managed to find the money for an X360, which I'm also very happy with.
Currently playing RE4 on Wii (still haven't finished it - it's been almost a year since I bought it!) and I have MP3 and SMG waiting, so I'm guessing the Wii will provide a lot of entertainment in the next few months. Then there's Brawl and Mario Kart.. I want to buy Orange Box for the 360, but not before I've dealt with my backlog.
