They already said they were making a new console. Then again, Sega lied a few times before they went 3rd party.

Of course, Sega was hurting, Nintendo isn't. Sega had 25% of the market when it was released, Sony had 25%, and Nintendo had 50%. If a brand new system is getting killed by N64, and PS2 yet to come, Sega didn't look too good.

The rumors of Nintendo going 3rd party are started by Sony and MS fans, with no real basis other than their hopes. Financially Nintendo is doing fine, and as far as the marketshare is concearned, if Nintendo were to go 3rd party, MS should be leaving the industry entirely. It's a pretty stupid argument, people forget how well Nintendo is doing.

I had mostly Sega games, followed by Nintendo then EA... then there was THPS4, WMx8, and TS2

I got a new cube for Xmas, no games though... I was considering Metrid Prime, but I rented it and I still didn't like it. Oh well, I'll wait for Celda before buying any of those crapy third party games.

Sometimes, I just don't get you. You buy and sell systems like nothing for no apparent reason, but I guess there are just some folks I would never understand.

I didn't even want one... (hence the reason it will be sitting there gameless til Celda is released)

and yes, you are right, I'm working on my 3rd Ps2 and 2nd GCN... and 1st Xbox (if anybody wanted to know

)

Ps2 is my baby though, it almost has so many good titles (right now) that it is impossible to warrant a purchase of a new system over 3-4 new Ps2 games.

Hmm, it seems to be just the opposite on this side of the fence with a Ps2 and Xbox, I still find my cube to be my favorite system, maybe because I have a larger library of games for it or maybe the fact that I had it longer, but eh.

I do find SYM and Nightfire to be fun though, have yet to get into anything on Xbox other than Jet Grind which I don't think is better than the original but still cool.

For the time period I didn't have my Ps2, GCN was my fav system for the same reason... I had more games for it. But, when it came down to exclusive games Ps2 won out. Not to mention 3 games I had for cube were online in the Ps2 versions (Madden, NBA 2k, and THPS4)

AC is the main game I miss for cube.

Big deal. We've gott he Cube now, by 2006 I predict a new console, and if the Big "N" becomes an exclusive, chances are it'll be for Sony, and that's unlikley still. I could see Nintendo making a comeback, yeah titles are being Phased out, but this is what happens with all consoles, if the GCN' successor is backwards compatible expect more titles to arrive.

Had the PS2 not been comaptible witjh the PS1 the PS2 would ahve been the way the GCN is, it's a matter of what happenbs when, also this is BS, a rumour is just than until proven as fact.
