E³ Prediction Thread 2002! (+ update on 2001)

If the phrase "E³ Prediction Thread" sounds familiar to you, then it should. Chances are, if you remembered the details on the last thread, then you are probably pissed...for two reasons I suppose..

One reason might be the fact that it took literally months before your results were posted...

Even worst that that is the second reason, which was: the thread was never finished. Ouch!

I could list so many factors that prevented me from finishing the thread, such as the attention-grabbing Spaceworld, that trailed the thread by a few mere weeks. Still, it mostly come down to work load...and how perplexing it became.

Even with all that said... The thread was seemingly a lot of fun, and it was fresh/welcoming(yeah, even for me who had all that work). Was pretty huge too!
That's why--hopefully--we'll do it again for this up coming E³


BreakABone kindly volunteered to help me next time around, and I'm more than greatful(hey, you aren't going to back out on me are you?). I don't think either of us wants that kind of work, but we(well, I'll have to speak for myself) are more than willing to do another one of those thread IF you guys are interested, and if we have enough participants.

It should make a fun thread like the last, or more so... so please show some support so BreakABone and I can determine how we'll organize it and split up the work effectively.

Just post a quick reply to confirm if you are interested or not. Afterall, it won't be much fun if only a remote few participates (the official thread should come about a week or 2 before E³--it will be detailed for the benefit of those who don't know about it--and you can enter anytime during that period. So you got until then to decide. The follow-up thread would come much quicker this time).

For the record, below are a few tid-bits I still have, they are awards that would have concluded the original (unfinished) thread.



WINNER: Agent Dark (67 pts)


Second place: Shooter (60 pts), Null (60 pts)
Third place....: Sephiroth (57 pts)


Most consistent(avoiding "0" and "-2" pts)scoring: Null

Least -2pt predictions: Gekko (got lots of zeros though)

Most consecutive 5pt scoring: The Game, Sephiroth (they both had 4 consecutive 5pt throughout the thread)

Most Dramatic "come-back": Sephiroth (he was way behind at the beginning...but came back extremely strong)

Ties: (didn't get around to working out all the final scores)

Most consecutive -2pt scoring: Camfu (poor Cam...if only he were here... I remembered teasing him about how sucky his scores got toward the end...he was dying to see them)

Least Total Score: Dreamcube (sorry pal..maybe 2002 is revenge time?)
