Looks like what it is, an indie "blockbuster", but it is loosely based on a period of British history I am currently addicted to: The birth of the rights of man (Magna Carta). I love that a Templar is involved, even though no Templars would have served openly at that time. There is evidence they dissolved into many lesser sects, including the Freemasons, who many believe started the peasant's revolt that started the entire movement.
Oh, and it stars Paul Giamatti, and that's good enough for me.
