Same with science.. if you wantto get into college, they recommend that you take a full year of either Chemistry or Physics -- screw that. The only thing that I'm doing that the colleges recommend is taking 4 years of English (required) and I'm planning to take 4 years of Spanish, and I want to get into Honors Spanish 4, because I plan to major in Spanish when I'm in college.
If you want to go into computers then all the colleges require it... If you don't take 4 years your screwed or have to take then again in college... it's better to take it in High School that way you get it out of the way and accomplish your goals faster.
