Hope you mean Sega Genesis/Megadrive..
Well, I thought Super Nintendo was way better. It had the RPG's, the platformers (well, except sonic), and all those fantastic RPG's. Oh yeah, and it had very nice RPG's.
I think it would be comparing a PS2 to an Xbox, because the PS2 is similar to SNES/Super Famicom in ways.. and the Xbox is similar to the Genesis/Megadrive. I guess it's all in preference of games.
