So IGN gets excited about mp3 playback on the PSP, eh? So some of you are looking forward to listening to mp3s on your PSP, eh?

Well, let's see here. mp3s have to be stored on the Memory Stick unless they come on the UMD (not happening. It just won't happen).

A 32 megabyte Memory Stick costs $35.

A 64 megabyte Memory Stick will set you back $50.

Assuming 128-bit encoding (and lots of people use higher quality these days), 64 megabytes is about enough for 12 typical songs or a little over an hour of music.

This is assuming, of course, that you aren't storing other things on the Memory Stick. Like saved games.

Am I the only one here who sees an elephant?

Not to be mean or anything oh great xantar the migty *bows before him* but your prices are way way way off, 256 mb memory stick on the first site I looked at is 56 dollars. and thats best buy thats not even comparison shopping fot the lowest price..
Here is a link for anyone that wants one..

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....product&cmp=++

I'm all for the DS I love the touch screen and everything, however all those getting mad about the mp3's look at the GBA's ability to play tv shows by buying the media.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...77171%3A134815

So I mean each of them has their own downfall. I personally like the DS and I plan on getting one but I don't see the point of paying 150 for something that wont do my e-mail and planner, eh so I'll stick with getting my palm for the time being until these drop in price.

And that folks is ace195's 2 cents

And i find it halarious how people like to diss the psp instead of being excited about the DS. getting bored with the DS or something?

and to support Stu's comparason...

Its the same as dissing the DS for having picto chat.

I mean seriously, if you wanted to turn this same discussion around on DS, people were getting so excited about picto chat, OMG HAHAHA, HE HE HE!!! thats what phones, computer instant messengers, and letters are for!!!

Both handhelds have thier extra features, and both will be used. who bloody cares?

(And this wasnt directed at you Jonbo )
