Re: THE NFL 2005-2006 Thread.
Holy crap I thought Favre was going to pull one of his crazy comebacks and sling a 40 yard pass down the field after his 50 yard pass in the 4th, with like a minute left. But he just got sacked a few times.
If the special teams didn't mess up, and if Muhsin Muhammad didn't bobble so many passes, it would have been 31-10 Chicago. Oh well....

Re: THE NFL 2005-2006 Thread.
I guess the Bears did pretty good against the Packers, but then again, the Packers weren't having that great of a season anyway.

Re: THE NFL 2005-2006 Thread.
Maybe not, but I give Favre credit this year.
The packs should have 5 or 6 wins, not 3. They've had a few misfortunes this year.
But winning is winning, even if it's dirty. The Bears have had a few not-so-clean wins this year. But I'm definitely not complaining.

Re: THE NFL 2005-2006 Thread.
I felt bad for that guy on the Packers who's touch down got revoked. That was a once in a season chance. And on Christmas.
Poor dude.

Re: THE NFL 2005-2006 Thread.
I don't blame Mike Sherman for the misfortunates on Green Bay this year, but the chemistry he has had with the team hasn't been great over the last 2, even 3, years.
Basically, Brett Favre isn't Brett Favre anymore. Sure...he's still got a cannon, but it's starting to rust. Favre isn't a bad QB, but you can't change the QB, you gotta change the team around the QB. Unless Favre retires.

Well, yes, Favre's skills are slowly deteriorating, but he is still one of the best QBs in the league. This year he was throwing to Donald Driver and a bunch of nobodies. I think that was more so the problem than Brett Favre himself. Also the fact they lost Ahman Green and Najeh Davenport - they had no running game at all. Then they found Samkon Gado, but alas, he was also injured.

Why the HELL do you want Mooch? That guy might have 3 more brain cells than Mike Tice, if that.

Speaking of Mike Tice, I feel sorry for the guy. He did a pretty good job fixing a horrible season. I hope they fire Culpepper.

I want him as offensive coordinator to keep Favre around for at least another year.
