Pillow Talk
So, how was everyone's day?
Today I got an old school portable radio to listen to Milwaukee Brewer spring training games - very excited.
I also decided I'd like to become a minister later in life.

Re: Pillow Talk
More importantly, how did you obtain an old-school radio?

Re: Pillow Talk
My day? My teachers banded together and decided it's absolutely necessary to all give out assignments today. Like we don't have enough assignments, projects, and milestones coming up to begin with.
To make matters worse, GDC is early as hell this year, therefore, so is our spring break. So some teachers are pushing midterms early, so I got those next week.
Now, a bit more assembly, then sleep. Shit, math quiz in 10 hours. Good night.

Re: Pillow Talk
Been studying for my first upper division history mid-term for the past week or so. The subject is War and Diplomacy between 1650 and 1815 and its really interesting stuff, but I can't help but be worried about how things will go tomorrow.
It's an open book open note in class essay, but IMO that makes things harder. It challenges us to be as precise and detailed with the facts used and how it is that we use them because they are all at hand. Now, normally I wouldn't be too worried, but we only get 50 mins to write the essay. I've heard stories of people churning out 6 pages in that time...we'll see how things go.

Re: Pillow Talk
I went to Amsterdam to attend a brainstorm session on nature and children. It was ok. This was the first time that I thought Amsterdam had its charms.
But this morning I woke up with a huge headache.
Edit: Germy, it was in Paradiso, Amsterdam. Sounds familiar?

Re: Pillow Talk
I played Halo until 4 in the morning, which didn't help my already-messed-up sleeping schedule. So now I'm waking up at 1 pm, and I'm grumpy all day.
My 2-week school break is almost over, so I'm in a very bad mood.
And I've got nothing else to talk about, so that makes me even worse

Re: Pillow Talk
I'm getting my picture taken for my company's website and newsletter today. They're doing a feature on our Professional Development (training and leadership) department. They're bringing in a professional photographer and make-up person.
"Tell Mr. Demille I'm ready for my close-up."
Kind of cool.

Re: Pillow Talk
My boss had an old coworker who is now a big client of his come in from Chicago to visit. They were trying to choose at which steakhouse they wanted to go eat. I suggested Sullivan's because they have a place called Ringside that has a live cover band that is pretty good that you can go to right after you eat. I also mentioned something about the amount of cougars that frequent there, and they liked that..
Buddy. I've been to Sullivan's before as a special date with me and my girlfriend, and it's awesome. Filet, crab claws, potatoes au gratin, creme brulee. My boss racked up a bill of $450 for just the three of us and gave a $150 tip, and that was just for dinner. Jesus. I'm glad I got to go, but I'm damn glad I wasn't paying. Shit of it is, we're constantly scrounging for money here. Guess you have to please your clients.

Re: Pillow Talk
You should have had the guts to say "Boss, why don't you just give me 200 bucks and my and my gf will get pizza."

Re: Pillow Talk
Haha no kidding. The food was really good, but yeah, I'd much rather have the money in my pocket.

It does sound familiar. The Paradiso is a great venue and Amsterdam is a great city. And no, not for the reasons you may think considering I don't smoke weed or buy time with the ladies in the red light district. I just like that it's on the water and everybody rides bikes or boats to get around. One of my favorite cities that we got to visit...
As for my day, nothing crazy...Spinto Band practice, then drove up to NYC and am staying at my friend's super nice mid-town apartment with my GF for a couple of days. Should be a nice weekend...

Just sort of came to me in a bit of an epiphany. As long as I can keep my "real" job and also be a minister I think I'll most likely pursue it.
And I got the old school radio over the internet.

Anyone have anything new for pillow talk tonight?
