I feel nothing weird about it, big deal, as long as I get along with the person
And hell, I slept in the same room as earl and I don't think I was molested much

Re: Facebook/Myspace, feelings towards having online friends added
I have no problem having people add me to Facebook, so long as I talk to them on even a remotely frequent occasion.
And I'd say close to 97% of my friends on Facebook are people from real life, and not the internet, so it's no real big deal.

Re: Facebook/Myspace, feelings towards having online friends added
I'm a misanthropic hermit so I just use Facebook to spy on the very few friends I have on there every so often. I'd probably be more keen to add you folks than those who usually contact me from my past which I delete shortly after befriending. Usually friend whores. The +1 icon for befriending someone makes it feel like a video game where you acquired a new pokemon or something for your collection. Bothers me.
Sleeping in the same room without being molested is a good gauge for friendship I would have to agree. Hmm, 75% of my friends on my facebook account pass that test. Er, the other 25% I just haven't slept in the same room with...not molested by.

I'm still a proud boycotter of Facebook, Myspace and similar sites. I find them so silly... I'd also rather meet up to keep in touch with friends.

I find that silly. I used to be the exact same way about cell phones (a "proud boycotter"), but it's silly. Every form of communications has its pluses and its minuses, but any way to communicate is a good thing. You try your best to use each one for its pluses while avoiding its minuses. You don't boycott it altogether.

Well let's see
I have now visited a ton of GTers.
And had my first sleepover this week. :P
So yeah, I don't care anymore.

Re: Facebook/Myspace, feelings towards having online friends added
The guy in your avatar, is that the actor from Slingblade? And I think he played David Crocket in The Alamo.
I sometimes hear about the Hyves (popular Dutch networking site) dramas... Kids who are in fights with people they've never even seen in real life.
Yeah sure I'm missing out on some good stuff, but I don't notice it.
