Golden Oldie: Spiderman TAS
With the newest Spiderman cartoon wrapping up (for now I pray), I thought it would be nice to look back at the one that most people hold as a benchmark for Spiderman animated series. This is partially also influenced by some random discussion during Xbox gaming with Swan, Fox and others.
The intro, it is one of the better ones. But not as memorable as the 60s theme which still stands as the hallmark theme of Spiderman.
Now this show came out in the 90s and like many of Marvels animated series of the day remained faithful to the source material so you got it all. The Clone Saga, Venom, Carnage, the Secret Wars... all of it fit into a 65 episode show, though there was some lingering at the end with the faith of MAry-Jane.

Good job Earl
As we were discussing on MSN, it is an interesting beast of a show especially in comparison to the newer show.
The one thing I didn't notice until pointed out, and I think you confirmed tonight is that there is actually very little physical contact in the show. You hardly see punches and kickes delivered and I believe this carries over to the X-men cartoon as well.

I got bored so I went back to this thread and started watching again (where is season 3 of spectacular spidey!)...
Anyway, the reason no punching and kicking is because Fox went through this crazy censorship thing. There are also no real guns or anything, no blood..stuff like that.
Anyone remember the old 3D transformers show, Beast Wars? Man that show was cool...at least when I used to watch it. I'm sure if I follow up now I'll be disapointed...
