if you want to live in the United States of America, you have to abide by the laws the country goes by. if you wanna smoke weed all the time, go to Columbia or some third world country.

and no, I don't drink alcohol, because it's not good for me, and at my age, against the law...I mean I've HAD alcolhol before...but my sobriety streak is at about 3 months

I was born into this country, and i'm happy i live here and not some other crazy poverty/war-ridden place

and i understand the concept of laws

but there are some laws i do not agree with
so i do not always follow them.
yet i know and accept what will happen if i am caught
and that's fair,
and it's fine with me
i know i'm taking some risks
but so be it

instead of "you *have* to abide by the laws of the country"
i like to see it from a more literal prespective:
"if you do not abide by the laws of the country, you risk getting caught, and then undergoing the resulting punishment"
because that is the truth

BTW stu, I don't think you're one to back jeepnut up about breaking the law... you've had alcoholic drinks befo... you even told me on AIM awhile back you've smoked weed befo... unless you were lying to make things sound worse than they really are and try to get me to stop

Well you see, yes I guess I did originally change the topic we were talking about, but I changed it to how I find it stupid that teenagers are like "OMG AWESOME DRINKING SWEET! CLUBBIN'! D00D!" and such, then Stu brought up the fact that I smoke weed even though I wasn't making a big deal out of it before and I have only done it 4 times and will never ever do it a whole lot...

And therefore it turned into a discussion about weed or something...

I've smoked weed once, and I've had alcoholic beverages before. Both were my choice, and now that I'm mature enough to put some reasoning behind my decisions, I can make, what I feel is, the right choice.

I'm not gonna try to convince DH or drolldurham to quit smoking weed, because quite frankly I'd laugh my ass off if I found out that some day they were two bums on the street trying to sell weed to innocent school children.

That's just some dumb false stereotype... Although there are obviously some loser bums that smoke weed... But the weed won't be the cause of it unless you let it run your life and you're like "D00D I SMOKE 10 JOINTS A DAY MAN SWEET I PLAY GUITAR!
