I hope they release a decent trailer soon. Not knowing what the hell they are fighting (besides Loki) is so frustrating.

Currently 100% at Rottentomatoes. The reviews have my expectations at unreasonable levels.

I am truly surprised this is getting good reviews. I know it's Joss behind the wheels, but I figured even he couldn't make this overloaded superhero movie anything but a bloated mess.

OK, so I just came back from watching this movie as it premiered thursday and I must say I was very pleasantly surprised by what it was, i was expecting a rushed mess of crap Xmen 3 style, but the movie has good pacing and is IMO one of the best superhero films out there.

I paid for the 3D but you could watch this movie without it (I like watching movies in 3D). The effects are not gimmicky in your face coming at you crap, its just there to add to the ambience.

All heroes get some decent screen time and while the movie has some gags and punchlines they come out good and not corny IMO.

The effects are top notch and when the action kicks in you are in for a treat. This will totally be worth your time if you are into this kind of thing, Id rate it 9/10.

P.S: As usual for Marvel movies, stay after the credits

This movie worked so incredibly well.

The humor is subleme. Action gets really good as well.

My only complaint is that it was a bit slow in the first half. Oh and not every hero seems as useful/capable as the others.

Watching the trailers and reading the initial reviews, I'm getting the impression that this movie has an Indiana Jones type of vibe to it. Not that it's like Indiana Jones, but that it's a "rollicking adventure" with humor and action. Am I on the right track?

I want to see this soooooo bad...
